Korean Travel Planning

Explore the South of Seoul information for independent travelers. We empower your travel beyond Seoul and Busan! The following information will help you start your next Korean adventure.

Creating Your Own Travel Plans

Need help organizing your next Korean travel experience? Here is how to use Naver to plan your adventures. Since Google Maps does not work for traveling in South Korea, learning to use the local map tools makes life much simpler and less stressful.

Boutique Tour Companies

Finding and booking unique experiences in South Korea can be difficult for non-residents. Once you have your travel plans outlined, you may want to also work with a local, boutique tour company to help with booking local accommodations, purchasing tickets, coordinating transportation, finding guides, or other tedious tasks. Such tasks may feel impossible without someone who speaks Korean and has access to Korean booking systems.

Detailed Travel Itineraries Across Korea

South of Seoul volunteers have compiled over 50 itineraries across South Korea. These tend to be 1-3 days in length so that they can be combined to create the structure for longer Korean travel plans. Additionally, our travel itineraries are created through many lenses: people of color, female solo travelers, LGBQT+, families, educators, students, etc. You will see Korea from many different perspectives.
